An Overview of the Support Stage

What happens during the Support stage of our Way of Working.

The support phase is focused on helping the product transition from active development to daily operation once it has moved to production. As in an indicator of its importance, experts are clear that businesses should expect to budget 20% of the total spend in the first year of support.

An integral part of moving to support is ensuring a clear handover occurs between the active development team and the support team. This ensures that relevant knowledge has been transferred and the Support Developers can operate in isolation. Once transitioned, the support team’s core goal is to help monitor the production environment and focus on keeping the product operating smoothly.
